Arisan Mica Insulated Band Heater transfers reliable high-temperature heating to cylindrical surfaces. They are available with a variety of diameters, widths, voltages, and wattages.
This heater can perform at the higher operating temperatures [up to 900°F (480°C)] essential to process high temperature resins, providing long, efficient service necessary for today’s high productivity of plastic extruders, injection and blow molding machines. All full Mica band heaters are designed with closed ends to protect against contamination.
Construction styles:
The one-piece construction is available on any screw or lead termination and clamping variation. It can be used where band heaters can be slipped over the end of the cylinder.
The Two-Piece construction is available on any screw or lead and clamping variation. Arisan two-piece design mica band heaters provide a built-in hinge, making handling and installation easier. On large cylinders or in the places where the heater should not be slipped over the end of the cylinder, this construction is very useful.
The one-piece expandable construction is available on any screw or lead and clamping variation. It can be used where a one-piece band heater would have to be expanded to fit over the barrel during installation, rather than slipped over the end of the barrel.

Mica Insulated Strip Heaters/Plate Heaters are constructed with a highly compacted refractory insulation that quickly conducts heat from the resistance wire to the sheath resulting in low internal temperatures and long heater life in the most demanding applications. For the projects requiring small areas and temperatures as high as 500°F, Strip heater is an excellent solution.
